SMAK Sint Carolus is led by RJ Sulistyanta and supported by a dedicated team of 20 teachers, each with their own specializations and strengths, along with one security officer and four janitors. The school places a strong emphasis not only on its students but also on its teachers, administrative staff, and support personnel.
During my one-month stay at Sint Carolus, I observed how much they value their staff and how close-knit their community is. Their strong bond stems from regular interaction, kindness, and humility, which further strengthen their relationships.
One unique tradition that fosters this sense of togetherness is the 3 o’clock prayer. Every day at 3:00 PM, before heading home, all staff members, including teachers, administrative personnel, and even the principal, gather at the faculty office for this prayer. This shared routine deepens their connection and reinforces their sense of unity.
