SMAK Sint Carolus supports its students in achieving scholarships by encouraging their active involvement in school organizations and extracurricular activities. We believe that learning extends beyond the four walls of the classroom and takes place through meaningful participation in the broader community. With the guidance and support of our dedicated teachers, students are empowered to compete, excel, and earn scholarships that open doors to greater opportunities.

After interviewing some students, I discovered that several of them are scholars, and SMAK Sint Carolus is a partner in the Beasiswa iLiMAC scholarship program. This program is aimed at high-achieving students from high schools, vocational schools, and Islamic high schools (SMU/SMK/MAN). The scholarship provides IDR 500,000 per month for SMU/SMK/MAN students.

Danny Putra Febriansyah, a 12th-grade student at SMA Sint Carolus Bengkulu, is one of the recipients of this scholarship. He has been awarded the scholarship due to his active involvement in organizations, as well as social, religious, scientific, and youth empowerment activities.

“The scholarships I have received at this school, such as the Achievement and Financially Disadvantaged Scholarships, have greatly supported my education. Additionally, I received the iLiMAC Scholarship, which I’ve had since junior high school. I was selected because of my achievements and my involvement in various activities. This scholarship not only provides financial support but also offers special guidance for character development. It has a national scope.”

Two other students also received scholarships by winning a competition called OSTARNAS (Olimpiade Sains Tarakanita Nasional/National Tarakanita Science Olympiad). This competition is organized by the Tarakanita Foundation every two years. It is a prestigious event among Tarakanita schools nationwide, as it gathers the best participants from various schools representing seven regions.

"I competed in the Scientific Writing (KTI) competition in the Humanities category for high school level. This research project was planned in November 2023 and completed by September. Then, the following month, I attended intensive coaching and training sessions to prepare myself to present the research findings to the judges, who were experts from BRIN. Thankfully, the competition ended well for me as I won 1st place. The prize was Rp 1,250,000 in cash, which was used to reduce my school fees for two months." - Querina

"Earning this scholarship to SMAK Sint Carolus was not just a reward for our hard work—it was also a reminder that challenges can be stepping stones to success. To those dreaming of earning a scholarship or achieving something great, my advice is simple: Never give up, even when the odds seem against you. Your effort and determination will eventually lead to success."

These students serve as a testament to the school’s high-quality teaching system and the importance of its support. Their confidence to participate in competitions stems from the unwavering encouragement and motivation they receive from their teachers, who are their primary supporters.
